Star image moodboard

The star image mood board will help us plan for what the main singer and band will wear during the music video; they are ideas of what they shall wear, making it easier on the day.

This is who our main singer would be, and how she would look like during the filming process out of the studio. These are also the outfits that the band would wear; it is based on our clothes, so therefore it would be comfortable, and easy to wear. Due to the cold weather during our filming times, it would be appropriate that the band would wear the outdoor coats when hanging outside. We as a group were looking for a minimalistic look therefore the colours are neutral and blend well together. The middle image is what our main singer would look like when wearing her outdoor clothing.

This would be the outfits the band would wear inside the studio. We as a group were discussing how when we film the studio scene for the chorus, we would wear all black, especially if we are going to project pictures/videos onto us, it would then come out clearer. The black colour also connotes a rebellious look, and due to our genre being indie it fits into the category. The top right hand corner is my photo which would symbolise what the band would actually look like.

Artist profile

This is the band biography explaining where they came from, as well as the artist profile, giving a brief biography of the main singer of the band.

Storyboard

This is our storyboard, which i drew, in order to create a clear picture of how our video is going to be planned out, therefore helping us during the process of making the video, as we could look back and see what exactly is happening in each scene.

Music video pitch

This is the pitch we presented to the class, the question that was asked was that will there be enough time to film all the locations, and we answered yes, due to the close distance it would be easy to film all of the locations mentioned. The pitch was done in order to present our ideas for our music video, and for any questions and improvements to be said to help us within the process of making the video.

Initial focus group

(Below is all of the information featured in this slideshow)
We planned a focus group, in order to get other opinions on our ideas, and also, to help us improve any ideas further so that when we produce our music video, we will take into consideration any ideas from our peers.

Questions for our target audience
What do you think of the song?
What do you think of our initial ideas?
How do you think we should represent the band, referring to our genre?
What do you think about our theme, ‘youth’, how else could we represent this in our video?

This is the focus group, where we asked questions about our chosen song, and our ideas for our music video.

Response
From our feedback, we have taken the idea of the dawn till dusk theme with the progression of time. They did like our ideas, and it appealed to them very much, seen as they are teenagers they can relate to our theme of fun. The thing they liked the most was the song and how our concept matched it, with its lively atmosphere and upbeat tune. The improvements they made were to make sure there is enough time to actually film all the locations we mentioned. They agreed with most of our ideas, adding that we might go to some music festivals, in order to get that live music atmosphere which would emphasize our youth theme.

Final music video synopsis

This is the final video synopsis, where we have broken up the lyrics, in order for it to be easier to plan out the music video, as we will know exactly what would happen in each scene.

Audience profile

This is the typical person that would listen to our artist/group that we are promoting; it will also help me in the process leading up to the music video, as we can visualise what our audience would like, in order to appeal to them, so with their profile considered it would be easier to produce the video.
