This is my album advert mock; I have used images of a girl band called 'Haim' to represent my band- therefore all of the images are sourced from the internet. I had a clear picture of what I wanted to include in my advert, from my moodboard. I wanted to overlay pictures of the band, so therefore for the actual advert I have used two images, which are overlaid, to make it more interesting and relatable to the CD cover. The fact that the background is in black and white, it relates to the actual band name 'Black out'. I have chosen to stick with the colour black, for all of the fonts in order for the words to stand out. I have used the Logo design which was chosen by my audience for the band's name, and have included the name of the album beneath it. I have adhered to the codes and conventions of an album advert, and have included the band's website and record label at the bottom left hand corner. I have also
included a QR code on the right hand corner, in order for it to be an interactive device for my audience to use- and an easier way to get information across. I have also added the magazine star reviews on either side of the advert to attract the audience's attention. The text that is normally on album adverts is 'The debut album featuring the hit single' to actually draw the audience's attention to the artist's album. 'Pumpin blood'- which is the title of our music video, is in pink in order to go with the album cover, and house style.
